Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Donations Needed
Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Donations Needed
Our Day of Service honoring Martin Luther King Jr. focuses our efforts in education giving students the tools they need to be successful. Now more than ever students, teachers, and parents need the community’s help. Kids are learning outside of their typical school environments, showing that their community cares and supports them is important. In addition to picking up basic school supplies students need headphones, mini whiteboards, Expo markers, watercolors with paint brushes, and scissors. We are also asking for books for Kindergarteners to 6th graders. All items must be new. This year we are helping our more rural elementary schools including Meridian Elementary in Macon County and DeLand/Weldon Elementary schools for DeWitt County. No time to shop we can do it for you. Simply send your monetary donation to the RSVP office, we can buy supplies and books for kids K to 5th grades. For a complete wish list call the RSVP office at 217.428.6616 in Macon County or DeWitt County at 217-935-2241
Let’s show our children the support the deserve during these difficult times. We will collect donations until January 20th, 2021 and delivery at the end of the week.
