What is Community Services?

Dove's Community Services Program’s purpose is to unite, promote, and support local organized grassroots groups in neighborhoods to address community problems such as crime, alcohol & drug abuse, city code violations, juvenile delinquency, and other quality of life issues, through indigenous efforts. The Community Services Program assists in organizing new neighborhood groups and assists existing neighborhood organizations, helping them establish positive educational, social and recreational activities for youth. Collaboration between the staff, neighborhoods and other city wide agencies makes a positive impact on their neighborhood and the city of Decatur as a whole.

If you would like more information about the neighborhood groups and activities, or if you would like a speaker about the Community Services program, please contact the Director at 428.6616 or by e-mail at dove@doveinc.org.

Please double check before attending, especially in inclement weather.  428-6616
